The 2012 Award Winners of the New York Drama Critics’ Circle announced.
 

Recent Tony Award nominated production Once has been named Best Musical for 2012, together with Stephen Karam's Sons of the Prophet taking home Best Play and Nina Raine's Tribes named as Best Foreign Play for the 77th annual New York Drama Critics’ Circle Awards.
 

The New York Drama Critics’ Circle comprises 26 drama critics from various media outlets (print and online), based in the New York metropolitan area.  The award for Best Play, which has been presented since 1936, is second-oldest theatre award in US theatre, after the Pulitzer Prize for drama.
