The Pajama Game

THE PAJAMA GAME 

"The Pajama Game" first opened on Broadway in 1954, and played for 1063 performances. It was the first book-musical score for songwriting team Richard Adler and Jerry Ross, the first Broadway show for Producer Hal Prince, and Bob Fosse’s choreographic debut.

"The Pajama Game" takes place in the "Sleep Tite" pajama factory, where the workers are protesting for a 7 and a half-cent pay rise. The tuneful score is full of hit songs of the era, such as "Hernando's Hideaweay", "Steam Heat" and "Hey There (You With The Stars In Your Eyes)", to name just a few. A colourful cast of characters, Fosse inspired dance numbers, and some 1950’s style sexual tension make for a fun and hilarious show.
