Epic production ‘LIPSYNCH’ by theatre visionary ROBERT LAPAGE comes to Melbourne for one exclusive season.

The Arts Centre is reopening with a full slate of world-class productions and events, including the award-winning director Robert Lepage’s acclaimed production, Lipsynch.
An immersive and epic theatrical event, Lipsynch will show exclusively in Melbourne as what is being touted as the must-see show of the year.

French-Canadian Lepage is an international art world hero with his visionary approach, bringing the stage to life with enthralling style. Lipsynch is Lepage’s masterpiece, presented over nine hours and performed in four languages in what is a unique exploration of humanity.

The play itself begins with the on-flight death of a nameless woman, leaving behind a wailing baby. From here, audiences are taken on a journey through the lives of nine characters across seven decades, with humour and raw emotion throughout.

Moving performances, operatic arias and extraordinary staging take the audience from war-torn Vienna to pre-revolutionary Nicaragua and modern London.
This is an enthralling theatrical event for the senses, not to be missed.

I will never be the same again. It was an extraordinary 9 hours to savour for the rest of my life. "Le Grand Macabre" is now in second place as the best thing I've ever seen...."Lipsynch" has blown me away.
