I really enjoyed Zen Zen Zo's production of Cabaret! The sing was amazing, the characterization was moving and for a team with little to no dance training i am highly impressed! I will admit there were a few things i didn't like. The costumes. After seeing all the sexy costumes in the pre-show i was a little sad to not see them on stage! But at the same time, the costume did grow on me, and didn't take anything away from the over-all performance. The only song i didn't enjoy was 'Don't Tell Mama'. I am used to seeing this song played bigger and with more cheek and found the song a little lack luster. I loved the fruit seller! And don't think there wasn't a character in the show I didn't like! Zen Zen Zo please so more musicals!
I was interested into what aspects of the performance made you leave at Intermission?
Had you seen a production from Zen Zen Zo prior to Cabaret?
Were you familiar with the storyline and themes?
Was it the characterisation of the lead characters?
The set?
The revealing costumes?
I found the performance to be incredibly genuine to the original intention of the 'Cabaret' story and music. I am interested in which aspect in particular made you leave?

that was the worst thing that i have ever seen. i took four friends to see it and we walked out at intermission. i love cabaret and this was the most awful display i ever saw. we left at intermission with about five other people behind us and did NOT go back.
