The Blue Room Theatre Summer Nights 2012

The Blue Room Theatre's annual summer program of short and feature-length works, packing over 80 performances of 18 shows into as many days, Summer Nights is well-established as a hub for independent theatre during festival season and proud to be officially part of Fringe World in 2012. The 4th annual Summer Nights will also include shows in the 100 seat PICA Performance Space.

Below is a list of performances announced for Summer Nights:

The Day The Sky Turned Black - A multi award-winning examination of the Black Saturday bush fires by Sydney-based Ali Kennedy Scott.

Three Strikes - A humorous look at the US wrtier's Guild dispute by Emmy-nominated writer Brian Finklestein.

Sleepyhead - A gothic thriller by WA playright Nathaniel Moncrieff that sold-out at its premiere season in Melbourne.

Promimity - Australia's first micro-festival of one-on-one art: 12 shows, 12 spaces, 12 minutes each, 12 times a day!

Barefaced Stories - Returning in 2012 and joined by a host of new locally produced works including NewTwo, a changing weely line-up of short works of 2 performers

Titled Fawn - A contemporary dance collaboration with Warp Records and Berlin-based WAAPA graduate Melanie Lane.

Little Daggers - A new collaboration between Happy Dagger and Litty y Theatre present their adaptation of the worldn't oldest surviving play Persians, a heart-rending tragedy about the fog of war.

Virgie - Renee Newman-Storen presents her solo show about a little-known pioneering actress Virgie Vivienne
