Caged Bird Productions

Over at The Owl and the Pussycat a major theatrical event is taking place.  Caged Bird Productions are staging what is apparently the very first Australian production of American writer Sylvia Plath’s only play, “Three Women.”  Not many people know that esteemed poet Plath wrote a play.  This rarely produced but very worthy work, staged by the Royal Shakespeare Company in London in 1973 and rarely performed since then, has now arrived in Melbourne for us to enjoy.

A 'poem for three voices' written as a radio drama in 1962, Three Women entwines three emotionally-driven monologues describing distinct experiences of pregnancy.
