Rock of Ages Sydney Season 'Postponed'

Has Sydney overdone their attempt to topple Melbourne's musical theatre reign?

Having become one of the longest running musicals to be staged at the Comedy Theatre in Melbourne and opening to universal critical acclaim, it was announced today that, due to the current economic down turn in Australia impacting on single ticket sales in Sydney, the Sydney season of Rock of Ages, scheduled to preview from 11 January 2012, has been postponed.

Rodney Rigby of Newtheatricals, on behalf of the producing group said, “It has been decided due to the current economic environment, Rock of Ages will reschedule its Sydney season at a later time.”

All tickets purchased will be fully refunded through the relevant ticketing agencies.
