Mary Poppins Canceled Mid-show

Last night's performance of Mary Poppins at Sydney's Capitol Theatre was canceled mid-show due to a techincal malfunction.

Described on Twitter as a "stage stall," the show was canceled after the Banks' House set piece came off its tracks after "Jolly Holiday" and shook violently.

The cast attempted to continue the show but, after crew established the extent of the malfunction, were sent home along with the audience.

Mary Poppins is transferring to QLD's Lyric Theatre in December.
