Williamstown Musical Theatre Company Inc is pleased to announce our 2011 Season 3 production.
In roaring twenties Chicago, chorine Roxie Hart murders a faithless lover and convinces her hapless husband Amos to take the rap...until he finds out he's been duped and turns on Roxie. Convicted and sent to death row, Roxie and another 'Merry Murderess' Velma Kelly, vie for the spotlight and the headlines, ultimately joining forces in search of the 'American Dream:' fame, fortune and acquittal.
EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST FOR PRODUCTION TEAMS
In light of recent news regarding the appointment of Chicago for Season 3, Williamstown Musical Theatre Company Inc is now seeking expressions of interest for Production Teams for this production ONLY.
We are inviting applicants to submit a proposal (maximum two pages) for key production personnel - Director, Musical Director and Choreographer - individually or as a group. Applicants will then be contacted and invited to share and discuss their proposal with members of the WMTC Management Team.
Key Dates for the production:
* Season: 4th – 19th November (10 performances)
* Rehearsals commencing mid August
* Rehearsals to be held on Monday and Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons
Application Requirements:
Applicants are required to cover the following items at a minimum - each item should include a brief description and further detail is welcomed.
* Director, Musical Director, Choreographer – Biography / Prior Experience
o Please provide a biography and/ or past experience for each role proposed. This can also include roles such as Costume Designer, Props Co-ordinator etc.
* Artistic Vision /Design
o How do you see the production being staged? Include commentary around design requirements such as sets, staging, costuming etc.
