Starring a who's who of Australian stage and screen, Gaybies promises to be a stand out at this year Midsumma Festival.

Staged in MTC's astonishing Sumner Theatre, Gaybies is a special 25th birthday commission from Midsumma.

Gaybies is a collection of real-life stories from children of same-sex parents, surrogate mums, donor dads, co-parents and guardians. Funny, charming, sad and inspiring, Gaybies is a show for everyone who cares for, or wants to care for our greatest asset, children.

27 people aged 3-40 were interviewed, with experience of growing up with a gay parent. Gaybies is the result of those interviews. Using only their words and a brilliant group of performers, Gaybies comes alive at the MTC's Sumner Theatre for six shows only

Starring: Trevor Ashley, Virginia Gay, Esther Hannaford, Brent Hill, Gareth Keegan, Kate Kendall, Todd McKenney, Emily Milledge, Ben Mingay, Alex Rathgeber, Magda Szubanksi, Georgia Scott, Robert Tripolino and Christie Whelan-Browne

Created by Midsumma favourite Dean Bryant (Prodigal, Liza (on an E), Britney Spears: The Cabaret and In Vogue: Songs by Madonna), presented at MTC's astonishing Southbank Theatre.

15-19 January, with gala opening night on Thursday 17th.
