The 2011 Guild Awards Theatre People After Party!!!
**UPDATED** ***SOLD OUT***
Hey! Hey! Party People!
Wow! Has it really been a year already? Seems like just yesterday we were mixing it with the locals in sunny down town Ringwood. Okay, okay, last year’s party was… well… the best we could do at short notice (remember our original venue kicked us out a week before the event!) Side note: I drove past the original venue a few months ago to see a “FOR SALE – REDUCED PRICE” sticker on the window. The karma train came finally caught up with them. Yes it did! Whoo!
Anyway, onward and upward… Here are the details of this year’s shindig…

100% Bogan Free – Guaranteed!!
After an exhaustive search (and I mean REALLY freakin exhaustive) we’ve landed a local spot which is 100% private. We have a private room, private bar, private toilets & private smoking deck for all you cancer fans.
Drinks at Bar Prices
Drinks are at Bar Prices, not ridiculous nightclub prices, so you can give the sauce a nudge and not have to take out a personal loan to cover it.
Start and Finish Time
We will be kicking off from midnight and going through until 5am, or when the party dies out, whichever comes first. (Please note that due to liquor licensing laws and mandatory lock out after 2am, you need to arrive well before 2am, or risk being refused entry.)
Location
The Moonlight Bar/The Pint & Pickle – 448a Nepean Highway, Frankston. It’s conveniently located a couple of doors down from Maccas, so if you want to grab a quick bite before or after, you only have a short way to stumble. It’s also located a short distance from the theatre and most of the hotels, so you can walk home if you want. IMPORTANT – This place only changed hands a few weeks ago, so the signage still says “The Pint and Pickle Tavern”. The exterior is currently being renovated, so the signage is not all that clear. The function room is tucked away off the street, so just head for the big canopy looking thing (to the right of Maccas), go through the underpass (yes there’s an underpass – but we will be at the entrance from 12 to around 1am to protect you from monsters), turn right and take the stairs. Again… TO THE RIGHT AND UP THE STAIRS. If you go to the left, you will wind up in the local’s bar. You have been warned!

Above - See the white canopy thing to the right? Go through there…
Entertainment
DJ Schoodle (AKA Hughesy) will be back again this year pumping out your favourite pop, dance, R&B and of course the odd show tune to keep you dancing ‘till sunrise. We’ll also have our photographers and red carpet hosts on deck to take some happy snaps of you and your mates in your party frocks.
Cost
Just $10!
How to buy & collect tickets
1 – You MUST be on the guest list to secure a ticket. To secure your spot, please email us at events@theatrepeople.com.au . If you wish to add a person other than yourself to the list, do us a favour and check with that person that no one else is doing this for them too. It saves a lot of pain for you and for us in the foyer at collection time. Trust me. Also... if you are making a booking for multiple people you MUST give us the full names of everyone on your guest list.
2 – You can collect your ticket in the foyer an hour before the performance. Avoid the queue by collecting it as early as possible.
3 – Please bring $10 in cash. We don’t take credit cards, bank cheques, EFTPOS or promises of payment at a later date.
Dress
You can stay in your guild outfit. Wear comfortable shoes though. The dance floor awaits..
Boring but important..
This venue is fully licensed and is an over 18’s event only. Sorry little dudes, we’ll see you in a couple of footy seasons. Also… for those over 18, please bring a photo ID, as you may be asked for it at the door. Please note that Frankston has a 2am lockout. If you try to enter the venue after 2am, you will not be allowed in. You MUST wear your VIP pass while entering the venue and while you are in the venue or risk being kicked out. It’s for your own safety.
Where to stay
There are loads of hotels around. I suggest checking out QUEST apartments. It’s where a lot of the theatre people stay and they are very gracious hosts.
I think that just about covers it. If you have any questions, please email us at events@theatrepeople.com.au
We look forward to seeing y’all on the night!
Cheers,
Hughesy

Sadness
So much missing this sadness going on right now... :(
