CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG @ The Whitehorse Centre | Nunawading | Victoria | Australia

BABIRRA Music Theatre is delighted to invite you to our June 2017 production of CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG.

When inventor Caractacus Potts buys an old racing car to restore for his children, little does he realise that he is creating the fantasmagorical Chitty Chitty Bang Bang – the car that swims, flies and might even save the day. Based on Ian Fleming’s novel, with music by the Sherman Brothers (who wrote the music for Mary Poppins), this family favourite includes big dance numbers and unforgettable songs like Truly Scrumptious, Toot Sweets, Hushabye Mountain and of course the Oscar-nominated title song.

The adventures of the Potts family, Truly Scrumptious, the Vulgarians and Chitty have been entertaining old and young alike ever since the 1968 movie starring Dick Van Dyke, and now you have the opportunity to experience the magic of “the car that flies” and the heart-warming story of Jeremy, Jemima, Caractacus, Grandpa, Truly Scrumptious and Edison the family dog. This is family entertainment at its best.
