For you must all be careful when you go into the woods

It seems like perfect timing to bring Reg Cribb’s UnAustralia back to the La Mama stage after its 2010 ‘Explorations’ production.

I see their faces. They don’t care if ya surf. They don’t care if ya work with them. To them, you’re a stinkin’ terrorist.

This play, about a woman Lisa (Fiona Macleod) who is held up in her emotional life because of her relationship with her dead twin brother (Luke O'Sullivan), took too long to get going and was far too busy with unnecessary business for the first half of the play.

"Hearing stories about the wartime youth of my grandmother – a youth entirely different to my own - I felt compelled to record them while I was able. Conversations soon became interviews and one evening, polishing costume shoes in the bowels of a university theatre, I began writing scene one in my mind." - Nicola Germaine.
