We are pleased to announce the formation of a new profit share burlesque troupe in Melbourne.

Red Chair Burlesque.

Red Chair Burlesque will be specializing in routines based on pop culture icons.

We are looking for 5 dancers (Female and Male) who want to take part in building a show from the ground up, who want to be trained and taught to the highest level possible or who would like to have the skills that they already have lifted & enhanced.

5 Dancers who want to really bring characters to life through acting & dance.

What do we expect of you?

o       To attend every rehearsal. On time.
o       To perform burlesque dances based on pop culture characters.
o       To be professional at all times.
o       To understand their characters, to know their stories and back grounds and be able to talk about them and the movie/T.V. show/Game etc that they come from. (Dancers will be given clear character information from the Artistic Director)
o       To be available to the Troupe for any additional requirements i.e. interviews, advertising, photo shoots, promo work.
o       To offer input into routines.
o       To possibly undertake chorography of items from time to time when asked by the Head Chorographer.

No previous experience in burlesque is required.

Auditions

Date:                Sunday 12th February 2012.
Time:                8.30am – 12pm (Depending on numbers there may be a 2nd lots of auditions in the afternoon)
Place:               Ringwood East

Please bring dance wear and heels for the dance audition.
